The session will begin with an overview of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, how to use the scope of practice decision-making diagram and then key components of a nursing portfolio. Examples will be displayed and sample forms suggested.

The Missouri Youth Health Initiative involves youths throughout Missouri on Youth Advisory Committees to give advice about how to better serve youths and provide STD/HIV prevention education. Participants will learn how involving youths to give meaningful input about initiatives that affect them can lead to more effective programs and an increased sense of self esteem and self efficacy for the youths.
